  • After third place finish at Massac Invite, Eagles knock off Gallatin County

  • The Eldorado High School volleyball team took care of Gallatin County in straight sets, wining 25-17 and 25-9.
    "We played very well as a team tonight," said EHS head coach Lisa Craig. "Everyone was covering well and helping each other out. We showed a lot of hustle."
    Abby Steed finished 6-for-7 with six kills and 1-for-3 on serves with two points. Sadie Steed was 6-for-6 with five kills, while going 11-for-13 on serves with 14 points and two aces.
    Mary Mitchell was 26-for-26 on sets with two kills and a perfect 8-for-8 on serves with eight points and one ace. Erica Graczyk was 13-for-16 with seven kills, while the Massac County All-Tournament Team member went 7-for-7 with seven points. Dresdyn Bramlett was 7-for-9 with five kills and 5-for-6 on serves with six points. Katrina Beaumont was 12-for-12 on serves with 12 points and two aces.
    Katrina did a great job serving tonight ," Craig said. "We had got down at the first of the game and she really brought us back with her serves."
    Also against Gallatin County, the junior varsity club won in three sets 25-22, 18-25 and 15-11.
    The Eagles are slated to play host to Carmi-White County tonight (Tuesday) starting at 7 p.m. at Duff-Kingston Gymnasium.
