  • The Eldorado High School girls' golf team lost by two strokes on the road 167-169 to Mt. Carmel Tuesday afternoon.
Ashton Goodley took medalist honors with a one-over 37, while Taylor Goodley shot a two-over 38.
The two Goodley girls were the talk of Mt. Carmel Country Club Tuesday where as many 25 golf carts followed the Eldorado High School twins around for nine holes.
"Ashton and Taylor put together solid rounds, leading our scoring and they are doing a great job for us," EHS head coach Greg Goodley said. "It's tough to be consistent every time out and they have been all season."
Sam Mings carded a 45 for the Eagles, while Jaclyn Artman, playing in the sixth hole, came in with the fourth and final score, shooting a 49.
Taylor Aldridge fired a 51 for the Eagles, while Regan Gray finished with a 60.
"Sam staying in the mid 40's is a plus and has been putting together good rounds for us," Goodley added. "Jaclyn Artman broke 50 for the third time and is a plus to see as the season moves toward conference tournament and regionals."
"We are pushing each other every time out and with that we are able to cover scores when someone has a tough day, as did Taylor Aldridge, which has been in our top four scores all season long. We still need to improve some course management thoughts and understand that bogey is a good score when we are in trouble."
With the loss, Eldorado drops to 25-5 on the season.
