  • The Eldorado High School volleyball team won in straight sets over Carrier Mills Monday night, winning 25-22 and 27-25.
The Wildcats proved to be a challenge according to EHS head coach Lisa Craig.
"Carrier Mills hustles very well and they controlled the game a lot of the time. We fell behind a couple of times, but the girls got themselves together and played hard, coming from behind two different times.
"We still hit the ball so hard that some of the spikes go out long," Craig said. "Hopefully we can get that under control with a few more games under our belt."
Erica Graczyk was 10-for-15 with six kills, while going 3-for-4 on serves with five points and one ace in the win, while senior teammate Kourtney Phillips went 16-for-25 with eight kills and finished 4-for-4 on serves with four points and one ace. Fellow classmate Sadie Steed finished 6-for-8 with four kills. Steed also went 11-for-12 on serves with nine points and one ace.
Abby Steed led the Eagles in service points with 12, while finishing 8-for-11 on serves with four aces.
Dresdyn Bramlett was 5-for-10 with three kills and went 8-for-9 with eight points and two aces.
Mary Mitchell was 28-for-29 on sets, while going 10-for-10 on serves with 10 points and two aces.
The Eagles are scheduled to travel to McLeansboro tonight (Tuesday) for a rematch from last week's NCOE Invite with Hamilton County.
