Eldorado's Ashton and Taylor Goodley took to the road Monday, looking to tame another southern Illinois course.
They made Pine Lakes in Herrin its latest victim.
The duo each fired a one-under 35 in helping Eldorado to a 159-172 win over Herrin.
"It was just a great job today by Ashton and Taylor," EHS head coach Greg Goodley said. "They both covered bogeys with eagles through the round and a big plus was having them both under par and I really like the focus they showed today."
Taylor Aldridge turned in a solid round in the 40's, finishing with a 43, while Sam Mings rounded out the top four scores with a 46.
"Taylor Aldridge had another good round in the low 40's," Goodley said. "With some better work on the greens her score could have been lower. Sam put together a good round and a positive note was having our fifth score, Jaclyn Artman's 47."
Goodley said Monday was the first time this season his Eagles have broke 160. He attributed it to the mental focus his girls displayed.
"I would like to see us stay focused enough to score in the low 160's every time out."
