A 32-year-old Harrisburg man was killed Saturday in a St. Louis motorcycle wreck.
According to KMOX radio in St. Louis, Michael Evans was involved in a collision with an unmarked police cruiser.
“Three motorcycles passed the police officer, doing stunts on the left-hand (driver’s) side. One motorcyclist passed the officer on the wrong (right-hand) side. That rider struck the mirror of the police car and he lost control of his bike. The bike and the individual came to rest in a grassy area next to the road. That’s where he was pronounced dead,” KMOX quoted Police Chief Sam Dotson as saying.
Evans was in town as a participant in the 2013 Ride of the Century.
Evans was a manager at Morello’s Restaurant in Harrisburg, according to obituary information.
He was married to Latisha Evans and is survived by five children.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 at Harvest Deliverance Center in Harrisburg. Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
