  • Robin S. Seets, 49, Tucson, Ariz., underwent brain surgery at Harrisburg Medical Center early Sunday following an accident at Commercial Street and Sloan Street Saturday at 11:44 p.m., according to Harrisburg Police Chief Bob Smith.
Illinois State Police investigated the accident and an ISP release indicates Seets was southbound on Commercial Street and slowed when approaching the intersection with Sloan Street.
Evan L. Edwards, 20, Stonefort was driving a Ford Focus behind Seets' cycle and did not slow down, striking the motorcycle from the rear, according to the ISP.
Seets was thrown from the bike and sustained major injuries. He was transported to Harrisburg Medical Center and underwent brain surgery later on Sunday. Seets remains at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Edwards was arrested on charges of aggravated driving under the influence of drugs and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He posted $2,000 cash bond and was released.
