In a rematch of last year's regional championship, the Harrisburg High School soccer team extracted some revenge Thursday night.
The Bulldogs took a 2-1 victory from Breese Mater Dei at the Metro-East Tournament as Harrisburg stayed undefeated on the young season.
Luke Horton and Carver Gregg each had a goal for the Bulldogs, while Ryan Cowsert got the win in goal.
Cowsert played all 80 minutes of action, coming away with six saves.
Gregg now has four goals in two games as he scored the Bulldogs' lone goal in the first half off an assist from Anfernee Houston. Horton provided the go-ahead winning goal in the second half to break the tie.
Harrisburg head coach Mike Stewart called Thursday's contest a hard fought battle with the heat once again taking its toll on the players.
"We played a much better possession game," Stewart said. "We are definitely finding our groove and things are coming together. The men are working well together and to be doing that this early in the season is very encouraging."
