  • It was a long grueling week, but Eldorado head girls' golf coach called it a very successful week.
Monday, the Eagles won a triangular match at Crab Orchard Golf Club, before falling in a dual match by nine strokes against Massac County Tuesday at Saline County Country Club.
On Wednesday, Goodley and company (166) capped the week off with a triangular win over Cape Norte Dame, Mo. (176), and Anna-Jonesboro (277) at Union County Country Club.
On the strength of an even par 36 by Taylor Goodley, along with a 39 from Ashton Goodley, a 43 from Taylor Aldridge and a 48 from Sam Mings, Eldorado improved to 10-2 on the season.
It was the second time in as many days for Taylor Goodley, who grabbed medalist honors, who had no birdies on her scorecard, but didn't record any bogeys either.
"I like the way our team handled having three matches in a row this week," Goodley said. "We have a lot to work on, but the girls are working hard and striving to post better scores, and as a coach that is great to see. We have some time to work on things, and then get back on action next week.
"Taylor and Ashton played a solid round posting rounds in the 30's," Goodley said. "Taylor just went out there and parred every hole and Ashton played another solid round staying at 3 over."
