  • Alexander Tison sure does know how to flip the script.
The Harrisburg High School senior started his 18-hole round Saturday at the Anna-Jonesboro McDonalds Challenge on the back nine, carding a 45.
Tison found a way to tame Union County Country Club on the front side, shooting a 33.
Tison's round put him in the top nine overall and helped Harrisburg to a second place finish Saturday as the Bulldogs shot a 320, missing out by 10 strokes to eventual winner Massac County (310) in the 17-team, 98-man field.
Following behind Harrisburg was Hamilton County to round out the top three.
Individually, Bulldog sophomore finished with an 80, as did Ryan Williams, while Dillion Street shot an 82. Patrick Bittle busted out an 85 and Garrett Jenkins finished with a 91.
Harrisburg head coach Mike Tison complimented his team on staying steady Saturday, playing a Union County Country Club course that was set up with difficult pin positions.
"Fowler is still playing with a sprained ankle but we expect that to heal quickly," Tison said. "Williams and Street were steady and helped the team a lot."
Harrisburg (16-1) is scheduled to travel to West Frankfort Tuesday.
