  • Ashton Goodley turned in another medalist honors performance with an even par 36 in route to helping the Eldorado girls' golf team to a 167-229 win over West Frankfort Wednesday at Franklin County Country Club.
    Taylor Goodley fired a two over 38, while Sam Mings shot one of her best scores with a 45. Taylor Aldridge fired a 48 rounding out the four low scores for Eldorado.
    "I thought the girls did a great job today and I really liked our thought process on the course," EHS head coach Greg Goodley said. "If we can keep eliminating mental mistakes our scores should keep improving. I'm very happy with our start and scores so far this season."
    Eldorado is now 6-1 on the year and will travel to Carterville Monday and will play host to Massac County Tuesday at Saline County Country Club.
    Other scores for the Eagles Wednesday included a 56 from Jacqlyn Artman and a 63 from Regan Gray.
    The Redbirds were led by a 51 from Ashley Dodd, while Maci Laswell and Brittany Boren each shot a 57. Chloe Jovi added a 64 and Shaylee Mcalla added a 66.
