Phillip Kent "P.K." Trammel, age 78 of Harrisburg, passed away at 7:47 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Phillip was born on Thursday, Aug. 30, 1934, in Saline County, to the late Omer and Marie (Ellis) Trammel Womack. On Saturday, Dec. 15, 1962, he married Brenda Reynolds and she survives in Harrisburg.
In addition to his wife Brenda, Phillip is survived by daughters, Jill Johnson and husband Steve of Harrisburg, and Alta Thomas and husband Jeff of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Kent Johnson, Chelsea Johnson, Chloe Thomas, and Cash Thomas; brother, Gary Trammel and wife Beverly of Harrisburg; stepsister, Rayvella Malone of Chicago; stepbrother, Charles Womack and wife Billie of Harrisburg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who cared deeply for him.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lendell Trammel; and sister, Alta Rittenberry.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Joe Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Masonic rites will be held at 7 p.m. and will be conducted by the Harrisburg Masonic Lodge Post No. 325. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Men on Missions or the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
