Roman Kuppart, trustee of Triad Development, currently owns the old downtown movie theater on Main Street.
This past weekend he removed the boards covering the front of the building and is holding an auction 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27 to get rid of all remaining interior fixtures.
Counters, soft drink machines, chandeliers — everything must go.
Kuppart said, "Plans are to construct a state-of-the-art 10 lane gun range using half the interior space. Another quarter of the space will be used for offices and a conference space. Use of the remaining quarter of the building is undetermined."
Those looking for a return to the days of watching movies at that location will be disappointed.
"When AMC theaters sold us the building they put a land covenant in the deed that stated that no theater would ever be built on this property," Kuppart said.
