The annual Beulah Holiness Camp Meeting will begin Friday and run through Aug. 2 at 700 Trolley Road, Eldorado.
The inter-generational camp has been in existence since 1903 providing contemporary Gospel messages in a historical setting. Age-specific programs are available for children, youth, college, career young adults and older adults. The Mission Blitz 2013 is a work mission opportunity geared toward the youth and young adults but open to all campers.
The Mission Blitz will spend time in community mission projects followed by off-site activities around Southern Illinois.
The daily schedule includes:
Youth Praise Service at 8:15 a.m.
Children’s Program at 9:15 a.m.
Adult Bible Study at 9:30 a.m.
Worship Services at 10:45 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Youth Devotions at 10 p.m.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily beginning on Saturday, July 27th.
The Evangelists for the week are as follows:
Jack French, Pastor and Executive Director of Youth for Christ, Missionary to Brazil, has conducted numerous revivals, youth camps and retreats, and conducted spiritual-life conferences for overseas ministries in Haiti, Dominican Republic India, Nigeria, Brazil.
Doug Newton, ordained elder and pastor at the Greenville Free Methodist Church, has conducted retreats and seminars around the world, and authored five books.
The Bible Teacher will be Margaret Newton (wife of Doug Newton – Evangelist). They have worked side by side in ministry administrating at Oakdale Christian Academy and producing the Light & Life magazine for 15 years. In 2000 they founded a ministry called Mary’s Place to create ideal opportunities for people in ministry and churches to reorient their lives around prayer and the Word of God.
The Song Evangelist is Diana Kozar. She calls Beulah home having grown up attending camp as a youth. She has led music in several revivals and college events. She is a chorus/music teacher in Kentucky.
Steven Wiseman will be the youth coordinator. Steven is the youth director at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion. He has been serving since 2003 and has served in numerous mission field locations.
Holly Muehleisen will serve as Missionary for the week. She has served the last couple years as a Missionary Disciple in Japan teaching English and working with children, youth, and college students. She has been officially appointed career Missionary with WGM.
The children’s program (ages kindergarten through completion of fifth grade) will be led by Jeanette Straeter. She will incorporate music, crafts and lessons to challenge and motivate the children.
Nursery is available for children up through the age of 4.
The Talleys will perform in concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday for a special service. The concert is free – a love offering will be taken.
