A truck struck a motorcycle and injured the rider at 2:33 a.m. Tuesday on North Main Street, Harrisburg.
The motorcycle rider, Sam Brandsasse, 28, Eldorado, was stopped in the roadway at the 1000 block of North Main Street, possible intending to turn left, Harrisburg Police Chief Bob Smith said.
The driver of a pickup truck, Robert Price, 63, Harrisburg, told police his attention was on a person using motorized wheelchair on the street, he looked back at the road and struck the rear of the motorcycle, Smith said.
The collision pushed Brandsasse off the bike and the truck ran over the motorcycle, Smith said.
Brandsasse was complaining of an injury consistent with a broken tail bone and was taken by ambulance to Harrisburg Medical Center, Smith said.
Price was cited on a charge of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
