Harrisburg Police are investigating a shooting that occurred 12:30 a.m. Saturday in a public parking lot behind E.L. Shagwell's on Raymond St., according to Harrisburg Police Chief Bob Smith.
Smith said police are not yet releasing the name of the victim as officers have not yet interviewed him. The male victim was shot in the arm, was taken to Harrisburg Medical Center and then taken by helicopter to another hospital for surgery to remove the bullet. Smith did not know which hospital the victim was at Monday morning, but said officers intend to find out where the victim is and interview him today.
"We have no suspects. We're doing interviews today. We've interviewed tons of people, but nobody says they saw anything," Smith said.
One person told police the shooter fired from a moving vehicle.
"We have heard it was a drive by. Some people told us a vehicle fled the scene and that's when they heard the shot," Smith said.
"We're pretty sure the suspect was not in the bar."
