The Carrier Mills American Legion baseball team split a doubleheader Tuesday night at Dowell against the Sun Dawgs.
Post 364 took the first game 2-0, but fell 9-4 in the nightcap.
In Game One, Colton McCree pitched the complete game victory, allowing no runs on two hits, striking out four and walking two.
At the plate, Jarred Jackson, Darren Betz, Dane Hish, Skyle Smith and Kyle Wise all had a hit. Josh Bailey went 0-for-3, but scored a run, as did Hish.
In Game Two, Jackson finished 2-for-5, while Smith finished 2-for-4 with a run scored. Bailey, Laine Hutson and Betz all went 1-for-3, each scoring a run. Hish also went 1-for-3, while Wise finished 1-for-2 and Tyler Thompson went 1-for-2.
Over the weekend, Post 364 played at Marion Sunday, finishing up a delayed game at Goreville, losing 8-6.
Jackson, Bailey, Betz, Colton, McCree, Dalton Huckleberry, Hutson, Thompson and Hish all had a hit.
Jackson scored two runs for Carrier Mills, while Bailey, Betz, Smith and Hutson all scored a run.
In the second game against Goreville, Post 364 won 6-2, where Betz finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored, while Smith went 1-for-4 with two runs. Wise finished 2-for-4 with a run and McCree went 1-for-4 with a run scored. Jackson went 0-for-4, but scored a run.
Carrier Mills was slated to host a doubleheader against the Harrisburg Diamond Dawgz at Mike Lawrence Field, beginning at 6 p.m.
