James Marion "Jim" "KY" Hester, 69, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, at his home.
Jim was born in Owensboro, Ky., on Nov. 2, 1943, to the late Marion Ray and Margaret (Basinger) Hester. Jim served in the United States Navy. He is a retired General Baptist Minister and a retired truck driver. He was a longtime member of the Lessing Masonic Lodge, Teamsters and is a Kentucky Colonel.
Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna Maedean (Minton) Hester; daughters, Kelly Marie Hester, Cathy Raye (Marcus) Arnold, Michaelle Renee' (Terry) Peueler, Merri Margaret (Dennis) Embry; sons, James Allen (Tammi) Hester and James Anthony (Tabby) Hester; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Hester.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013, at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, Ind., with the Rev. Sean Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park where military rites will be given by the Retired Veterans Memorial Club.
Friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday.
