  • Margie Josephine (Barnett) Stout, age 82, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Chateau Center in Willowbrook after a lingering illness.

  • Margie Josephine (Barnett) Stout, age 82, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Chateau Center in Willowbrook after a lingering illness.  
    She was born on May 9, 1931, in Stonefort, to Coy Barnett and Lona Mae Borum Barnett. She was the third of five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Stout in November 2007; both her parents; and one sister, Stella Hartford; four brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Victoria Grace Steinbach in 1982 and Kristopher Eugene Stout in 2012.
    She is survived by twins, Kevin E. (Patricia) Stout of Plainfield and Karen Rose (Douglas) Almon of Diamond; a son Jeff Stout, of Rosiclare; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Margie are two sisters, Maggie Yahne of Paducah, Ky., and Shirley (William) Melven of South Carolina; one brother, Charles (Fannie Mae) Barnett of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
    In the early 1980’s, Margie came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior and happily lived out her remaining years serving the Lord to the best of her abilities. Margie was well loved at Chateau Center and happily helped out where and when she could. She was also close to many of the women of Lighthouse Ministries of Three Rivers Church in Plainfield. Margie’s life will be celebrated at a Memorial Service to be held 3 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Chateau Center, 7050 Madison St. in Willowbrook with Peter P. Vienne III officiating. Interment will be privately held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, where William is already buried.
    In lieu of flowers, donations to Three Rivers Church, 23901 W. Rolf Road, Plainfield, IL 60586 would be appreciated.
