Anna Marie Hobbs, 80, of 1817 Organ St., Eldorado, died June 12, 2013, at Ferrell Hospital.
She was born in Equality on Dec. 26, 1932, to the late Roy E. and Threasa (Wargel) Boulds. On May 11, 1953, she married Roy G. Hobbs and he preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1998.
She was a bus driver for Eldorado Unit 4 school system for 23 years and retired with no accidents. She was a member of the Alter society at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldorado and a life member of the ladies auxiliary VFW Post 3479 in Eldorado.
She is survived by her children, Harvey (Brenda) Hobbs of Eldorado, Kenny (Monika) Hobbs of Bethalto and Threasa Prince of Eldorado. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Anthony (Carrie) Hobbs of Muddy, Michael Hobbs of Bethalto and Wesley Prince of Eldorado and a special friend Jonathan Olin. Also surviving is her brother J.R. (Carolyn) Boulds of Eldorado and three sisters, Sarah (Hubert) Fromm of Ridgway, Loretta Masulla of Eldorado and Mary Ann (Frank) Ricken of Elberfelt, Ind. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Simon, Lawrence Edward and Bill Boulds and a sister Bernice Drone.
Memorial mass services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday June 15, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial of her ashes will be at a later date.
Memorials may be made to VNA hospice and envelopes will be available at the church.
