  • Catskin Days Springfest returns to Carrier Mills this week with a new carnival, some great music and the ever popular wrestling on Main Street.
The new Carnival Ride vendor is to be Brady Amusements, the same company that provides rides for HerinFest Italian, and the Village Board and the Catskin Days Committee expects a much better selection of rides and a more polite and helpful staff this year. The carnival opens at 5 p.m. each day.
The Pink Out night Thursday will provide proceeds to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life for cancer research. The Pink Out night is an extension of the inter-school sports fundraisers that have been held during the school year by several area schools with great success.
Organizers say there will be a larger number of food and craft vendors present this year, catering to a even broader variety of tastes and interests then usually found at previous Springfest celebrations.
The usual musician groups plus a selection of new groups will be in attendance and all patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to be able to enjoy the wide variety of music offered this year.
As always, professional Wrestling with name stars will be present to entrain the fans and event-goers for free all three nights. As all previous patrons remember, the wrestling ring provides perhaps the most popular attraction during Springfest and is totally free of charge.
