The Eldorado High School softball team said goodbye to three seniors Wednesday afternoon at the EHS Sports Complex as Ashton Unthank, Cassidy Morris and Charley Lowery played their last home game of the season.
Lowery and Morris were two of three Eagles to get a hit in a 17-0 loss to Goreville.
The other hit came from Caitlyn Stafford as Goreville roped out 21 hits against EHS starter Mary Mitchell.
The freshman allowed 13 earned runs over 4 2/3 of an inning, while striking out one and walking one.
Michaela Laswell came on in relief. Laswell allowed two hits and struck out two.
Carbondale 1, Harrisburg 0
HARRISBURG - The Terriers' one run in the top of the third inning proved to be the difference as Carbondale handed Harrisburg a 1-0 loss Wednesday.
The Bulldogs (11-17) had four hits on the day as Whitney Younger, Brittany Reynolds, Kaitlyn Hutchison and Alexa Burtis all had a hit.
Following the one run for Carbondale on a wild pitch in the top of the third, Harrisburg would record the next three outs by throwing runners out at the plate.
