The Harrisburg High School girls' track and field team took third at the 2013 Harrisburg Track Invitational Monday at Taylor Field.
Herrin won the event with 116 points, while Benton took second, scoring 75 points.
Harrisburg tallied 67 points for third place, while Massac County was fourth with 58 points. Carterville rounded out the top five with 55 points.
Other schools included West Frankfort (51), Mt. Vernon (10), Marion (8), Hamilton County (14), Eldorado (7), Vienna (6), Johnston City (3), Carmi-White County (2), Anna-Jonesboro, Cairo and Fairfield.
Lindsey Murray turned in a first place finish in the pole vault, clearing 10-feet-6. Sara Holmes cleared 7-foot in the pole vault to finish in fourth place.
Taylor McDaniel won the 3200 meters with a time or 12.39 and added two fourth place finishes to her day with a time of 5:59.69 in the 1600 meters and was a part of the 1600 meter relay team that had a time of 5:59.69.
The 800 meter relay team finished fifth with a time of 2:02.39, while Miranda Elders took third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:36.13.
Kelsey Hobbs had a time of 13.14 in the 100 meter dash for a second place finish.
The 3200 meter relay team had a time of 11:05.85 for a fourth place finish and the 400 meter relay team took sixth with a time of 56.37.
Devan Jones had a fifth place showing in the shot put, throwing 30'2'' and placed fifth in the high jump, clearing the bar at 4-feet-6. Eldorado's Erica Graczyk tied Jones in the high jump.
Amy DeNeal placed third in the triple jump, going 31-feet-10.5 inches and finished sixth in the long jump, landing at 14-feet-5.
Amanda Stricklin finished fourth in the discus, throwing 89-feet-11.5
