The Harrisburg High School softball team smacked out 13 hits as they knocked off Pope County 9-1 Wednesday on the road.
The Bulldogs are now 10-16 on the season and will play at Anna-Jonesboro Monday.
Hanna Jones took the win in the circle as she gave up one run (none earned) on three hits, while striking out six.
Jones, along with Ashley Ferrell each finished 2-for-5 at the plate, while Jones had three RBIs on the day and Ferrell finished with one.
Brittany Reynolds and Kailtyn Keith each went 2-for-4, while Keith had an RBI. Kaitlyn Hutchison finished 2-for-3.
Galtia-Thompsonville 6, Hardin County 5
ELIZABETHTOWN - Larrisa Bond improved to 13-4 on the season in the circle with a one-run win over Hardin County.
Bond went six innings, allowing one earned run on five hits, while striking out five.
Emily Reed registered the save, returning to pitching duties after three week hiatus.
Madison Fletcher went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Lexi Johnson finished 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and Reed went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs.
Reed's solo shot came in the first inning and the Bearcats scored four more runs in the second to take a quick 5-0 lead.
The Cougars clawed back, knotting the score at 5-all until Galatia-Thompsonville got that all important run in the seventh inning.
Johnson got things going with a one-out hit, which followed an infield single by Brown and Fletcher to load the bases. Reed stepped up and provided a sacrifice-fly to left field to score Johnson for the game winning run.
