Hanna Jones got the win in the circle and paced the Harrisburg High School softball team at the plate in the Bulldogs’ 14-1 win over Gallatin County Wednesday.
Jones evened her season record to 8-8 as she figured into the decision. Jones pitched three innings, striking seven, while giving up no hits.
Ashley Ferrell also saw time in the circle Wednesday as well, she pitched the fourth and fifth inning and gave up one run on three hits.
At the plate, Jones went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, while Ferrell finished 2-for-4.
Kaitlyn Hutchison and Brittany Reynolds each went 2-for-3, while Hutchison had one RBI and Reynolds knocked in a pair of runs.
Harrisburg opened up the game with four runs in the top of the first inning and added eight more in the second. The Bulldogs’ last two runs came in the top of the fourth, while Gallatin County was able to plate a run in the bottom of the fourth.
Harrisburg is scheduled to play at Johnston City today (Thursday) at 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Bulldogs will play two games in Union Co., Kentucky.
