The Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School baseball team handled Thompsonville Tuesday to the tune of 5-2.
Josh Bailey got the win on the bump as he went seven strong innings and allowed two runs on six hits with five strikeouts and just two walks.
The Wildcats put up three runs in the second inning when Loren Whiting singled and followed that up with a David Goodman walk. Dalton Summers then delivered an rbi single and Tyler Cantrell pulled off a squeeze bunt to score Goodman. Anthony Kalodner then doubled to score Summers.
In the sixth inning, when Carrier Mills scored two more runs, Whiting doubled and scored on a wild pitch.
Carrier Mills is now 5-10 on the season and 3-2 in the Greater Egyptian Conference and are slated to host Pope County Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
