    Carrier Mills
    Carrier Mills Village President Louis P. Shaw ran unopposed and received 151 or 100 percent of the vote as did Village Clerk Rita Diefenbach who received 165 votes,100 percent, and all village trustees.
    For village trustees running for a full four-year term Jennifer O’Neal received 105, 29 percent; Gregory Prince received 124, 34 percent; and Carleen Sanderson received 128, 35 percent.
    William R. Jensik ran for the unexpired two-year term and received 161 votes,100 percent.
    David Harrawood ran uncontested for mayor and received 171, 100 percent of the vote.
    There were eight candidates for three Galatia Village Trustee seats. The winners were David L. Grant who received 127 votes, 21 percent; Rickey Cates with 103, 17 percent; and C. Larry Kukla who received 99 votes, 16 percent.
    Defeated were Cheryl (Beers) Stallings with 90 votes, 15 percent; Brandon Murphy with 61 votes, 10 percent; Eric D. Davis with 52 votes, 8 percent; Raymond E. Hutchison with 9 votes, 1.54 percent; and William Braden with 45 votes, 7 percent.
    There were five candidates for three Muddy Village Trustee seats. Clara Edgar received 13 votes, 30 percent; and Harold Dean Abraham 12 votes, 28 percent. Write-in candidates received 13 votes, 30 percent. There were two write-in candidates, Jennifer L. Smith and Jeffrey A. Thompson. Unofficial election results provided by the Saline County Clerk’s Office do not make clear how many votes Smith and Thompson received individually.
    Susan Strait was defeated with four votes, 9 percent.
    The next Raleigh Mayor is James W. Agin who received 56 votes, 60 percent, to Charles Maloney’s 36 votes, 39 percent.
    There were four candidates for three Raleigh Village Trustee seats and voters elected into those seats Jean Ellis with 53 votes, 27 percent; Ron Maloney with 51 votes, 26 percent; and Athel Wiseman with 46 votes or 23 percent.
    Vincent Talkington was defeated, receiving 44 votes, 22 percent.
    There were three open Stonefort Village Trustee seats, but only one candidate: Ronald “Ron” Howard who received 16 votes, 100 percent.
