  • A Jordan Stewart goal was all the Harrisburg High School soccer team needed in a 1-0 shutout against Olney Tuesday afternoon at the Michael Herrin Soccer Fields.
The Bulldogs rebounded from last Thursday's 2-1 lost at Cape (Central) Girardeau, Mo., by limiting Olney to just two shots on goal as Alicia McGuire picked up the shutout win in goal for Harrisburg.
On the flip side, Harrisburg had 14 shots on goal with Stewarts goal coming off an assist from Kelsey Hobbs 19:57 into the game.
"We always play Olney tough," HHS head coach Rick Daugherty said. "We played a little short handed tonight, only having 10 players because of Spring Break and I think even those that were there tonight had Spring Break on their mind. But, we played the game and got it done."
Harrisburg (4-4) will travel to Mt. Vernon on Saturday.
