  • TLF Performance Parts, Harrisburg, has a story that makes a congressman smile.
“It’s the American story about an individual who raises capital, puts it at risk and then succeeds and hires more people to work for him," said U.S. Rep. John Shimkus. The Representative toured the plant on Tuesday.
TLF owner Thomas Folder is working his magic with fuel injectors for cars, jet skis, motorcycles, boats and high performance racing cars. He remanufactures old fuel injectors in new and truly improved fuel injectors good for 250,000 miles.
Both NASCAR and NHA use his products.
He is planning to build a new and larger building on his current site on Granger Street.
His business has an international client list as well as strong support in the U.S.
He ships large quantities of his product through the U.S. Mail. TLF sells between 120,000 to 130,000 units a year.
Besides his praise for Folder, Shimkus commented on recent developments in the nation's capitol. He said he didn't think much will change will occur regarding gun control, that he sees some movement on the deadlock over immigration reform and he believes a compromise on the nation's debt may be possible. In August the politicians will be struggling over whether to raise the nation's debt ceiling he said.
