Beneath a full moon, a lone cow faces the moment at hand—and the camera.

A full day for a cow means a full belly, and a stout tail for switching flies.

You might say the moon looks out for her, only she doesn’t know that. She only knows what she needs to know.

We who call ourselves civilized are more ambitious. We ponder the verities. We need to know the “how” and “why” of things.

The cow can’t be bothered by such trivia.
