High as it is now, the Saline is on the rise, and I am remembering too well the Flood of 2011, when prime farm ground all around here became a lake overnight; remembering how at night mercury lights reflected on the water as though on a beachfront.

Will we suffer another flood?

Probably not, yet in every raindrop, every miniscule splash of wavelet against shoreline, the possibility is there.
