The fifth annual Men’s Health Conference returns to John A. Logan College on Saturday, March 23.
Registration is $45 and includes hundreds of dollars worth of potentially life saving screenings for things like heart disease, diabetes and skin cancer. Fasting blood screenings begin at 7 a.m. and go until 8:30 a.m. Screenings for hearing, dental, vision, fitness and foot problems will also be available throughout the morning.
Breakfast will be provided. Breakout sessions begin at 8:30 a.m. Some of the topics this year include: Gun safety, prostate health, healthy eating tips, heart health, high intensity interval training, estate planning, being a better parent and mastering the grill.
The day wraps up with lunch and a keynote speaker Dr. Edwin Wolfgram. Wolfgram is a medical doctor and decorated Ironman Champion, who in his 70’s continues to compete. He’ll share the secrets to his success over lunch.
Since 2009, men from age 18 to well in their 90’s from all over Southern Illinois have made a commitment to better health by attending the conference.
