Tampering with others’ political signs is a crime

Sheriff Keith Brown reminds the public tampering with political signs is a crime.

“We’ve had a number of complaints of people vandalizing or stealing political signs,” Brown said.

“It is a violation of Illinois law to take them out from private property.”

Brown asks the public to call the sheriff’s office if they see someone vandalizing or stealing signs.
