Dr. Karen McClusky is retiring after 37 years of teaching and directing plays at Harrisburg Middle School.
When the curtain opens on the musical "Willie Wonka Junior" 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15 at at the common area of the middle school it will be the last of more than 25 plays that McClusky has directed at the school. She has been the choir/drama director all those years.
"Because of the size of the cast we have drafted some former students who are now at the high school to perform in the show," she said.
Speaking about retirement she said, "It is bittersweet. I look forward to retirement but I will miss working with the students."
