Vivian Price, 90, of Harrisburg, passed away at 10:30 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2013, at the VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, Ind.
Vivian was born on May 22, 1922, in Harrisburg to the late Willie and Gertrude (Osman) Partain. On July 27, 1945, she married Charles David “Chalky” Price and he survives. She worked for Turner’s Cafe, Harrisburg Manufacturing, and S.S. Kresge for 24 years. She was a member of the Rebekahs Lodge of Harrisburg.
Surviving family members include her husband: Charles David “Chalky” Price of Harrisburg; daughter: Charbelle Collins of Harrisburg; daughter: Cynthia Healy of Harrisburg; four grandchildren: Tammy Wollersheim and husband Don of Neenah, Wis., Tiffany Serafin and husband David of Beecher, Brian Healy of Harrisburg, and Chris Healy and wife Ginger of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; seven great-grandchildren: Abby, Connor, and Ryan Wollersheim, Brady and Peyton Serafin, and Payne and Alexandra Healy; several nieces and nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Raleigh, Carl, and J.R. Partain, sister: Wilma Bennett, and son-in-law: Roger Healy.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Spring Valley Cemetery in Harrisburg. The Rev. Teddy Ray Price will officiate. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice.
