Victor Duyane “Dugan” Fife age 91 of Clarkston, Mich., former resident of Carrier Mills, died the night of Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in St. Joseph Mercy hospital in Pontiac, Mich.
He was born in Carrier Mills on Nov. 1, 1921, son of the late Lem and Dana Parks Fife. He retired from Ford Motor Co. and was a WW II veteran serving as ships cook with the U.S. Navy. He was married to the former Julia (Judy) Tedder who preceded him in death on Sept. 24, 2011.
He is survived by his children; daughter, Victoria Fife Green and son, Dan (Jan) Fife, all of Clarkston, Mich.; grandchildren, Todd (Stephanie) Murray, Dugan (Katie) Fife, Nikole (Ryan) Moore, Jeremy (Jennifer) Fife and Dane (Blair) Fife; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Vivian Mayhew and a grandson Matthew Green.
Graveside services with full military rites will precede burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills. Lounita Mitchell will conduct the service. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to service time. There will be no visitation.
