  • "It was fun!" said Kyllah Glass, when asked about her experiences during her audition for the television talent show "Americas Got Talent." On a more serious note she added, "It was a life changing experience."
Kyllah is 13 years old and the only girl in a family of boys. Her brothers are, Avery, Joey, Elijah and Zayden. On the weekend of Jan. 25, she and her mother, Jennifer Glass, traveled to Chicago so Kyllah could audition for the reality television show.
On the afternoon of the 26th Kyllah and her mother arrived for the audition. Once through registration the two found themselves in a huge room filled with what they were told was some 7,000 people.
"I think Mom was more panicked then I was" said Kyllah.
Kyllah found herself finally divided into a group 25 performers, and they began their auditions individually before a group of three judges. Kyllah said that the rules were that vocal talent had to perform without musical accompaniment.
Kyllah performed "Hallelujah," by Leonard Cohen, and feels she had a strong performance. Kyllah was told to expect notification from the show as to her status within one month. If chosen, she would then appear on "Americas Got Talent" and compete live before the celebrity judges.
Kyllah and her family want to express their thanks to everyone who contributed to her trip and helped make her dream come true. Jennifer Glass wanted to particularly thank Alyson Duncan for her special generosity. Kyllah is very happy that she got to have this experience, though her Mom said, "It was a neat experience but I'm happy to be back home!"
