Emily Jackson Irvin, 100 years, 7 months and 1 day, a resident of Eldorado, formerly of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at the Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado.
She was born in Mill Shoals July 5, 1912, to the late George Ed and Myrtle (Mossburger) Jackson. She was a homemaker and worked at Raben’s in the late 60’s and 70’s. And she was a member of the Eldorado Gospel Assembly Church.
She married the Rev. John “Bill” Irvin on Aug. 28, 1992, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2006.
Emily is survived by a granddaughter, Tempe Hollaway of Arlee, Mont.; and a grandson, David Williams of Montana; her brother, Eddie Jackson of Macon; and her sister Elaine (Joe) Brown of Fairfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a infant son, daughter, four brothers and two sisters and sister-in-law, Eloise.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. LD Jolly officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, Feb. 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery in Fairfield.
