Gallatin County rebounded from Saturday night's loss to Nashville with a 67-46 victory over Thompsonville, while Eldorado dropped a close contest to Carmi, falling 67-64.
Patrick Lowe dropped 20 points to lead the charge as the Hawks topped Thompsonville. Dane Hish added 18 and Andrew Drone tacked on 10 to finish in double figures.
Wes McGuire added eight points for Gallatin County, while Josh Belford chipped in with six. Mitchell Ramsey finished with three points for the Hawks.
Thompsonville was able to keep things close as the trailed 16-12 after the first quarter, but Gallatin County pulled away in the second, outscoring the Tigers 19-5.
Comeback not in the cards for Eagles
Despite outscoring Carmi-White County 17-13 in the fourth quarter, Eldorado came up short in a three-point loss to the Bulldogs at Duff-Kingston Gymnasium.
The Eagles dropped to 11-16 on the year and are now 4-5 in the Black Diamond East.
Tyler Deaton led the way for Eldorado with 18 points, while Joel Boulds scored 17 and Brennan Unthank tacked on 11. Justin Wiseman finished with 10.
Dylan Lawrence chipped in with six points, while Dakota Mitchell finished with two.
