Carrier Mills used a quick start Saturday to put away Webber Township with ease, winning 79-45 at the Rich Herrin Shootout in Benton.
Slayden Figg was one of four players to score in double figures as he put up an impressive 25 points. Cameron Taborn had another 16 for the Wildcats, while Darren Betz finished with 14 and Dalton Summers tacked on 10 in the win.
Carrier Mills opened with a 15-12 lead and led 39-20 at the break. The Wildcats continued to pour it on in the second half, outscoring Webber Township 24-10 in the third quarter.
Josh Bailey scored six for the Wildcats, while Dalton Mitchell, Loren Whiting, Gabe Motsinger and Blake Parks each had two points.
The win was No. 599 for head coach Mark Motsinger, who can reach 600 against Crab Orchard Tuesday night.
