The Saline River is making me nervous. For a period of days a couple weeks ago it seemed to rising a little every day though there was no new precipitation. It had to be backwater from the Ohio River.

Then one day it dropped noticeably and stayed low for a while. Then it rained the river rose back up and it has maintained its level.

Then we had a surprise snow early Sunday morning which has melted for the most part. The forecast calls for rain Thursday.

It is too much to have a historic drought and only a few months later have a flooding threat.

We have already had our natural disaster for 2013 with the Galatia tornado. River, stay in your banks!
