First day of practice went great. We must have drawn the short straw because San Fran is practicing at the Saints facility and we got Tulane University.
They actually have a nice athletic complex, but it just so happens all their football fields are currently being renovated. That left us the outfield of the baseball field. No excuses, we need to have a great week of practice.
We went back over our game plan today. I believe our extra week of practice is going to help us tremendously. This pistol offense San Fran runs requires everyone on defense being on the same page. If you saw the Packers and the Falcons struggle at times, it was because guys weren’t quite sure who was supposed to have what.
We have great communicators on our football team and in big games you’d be surprised at how many mistakes happen just from a lack of communication.
I can’t wait for the opening kick. I honestly would rather kick off so I can get the chance to run down and get a big hit, but the thought of my guy, Jacoby Jones, running one back and then doing his famous dance wouldn’t be all that bad either.
