Noah David Horton, 60, 455 Liberty Road, Harrisburg, died Monday, January 28, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
He was born in Eldorado on March 22, 1952, to Noah Horton Jr. and the late Betty (Turner) Horton. He worked in the coal mines and agriculture. He was a member of the Eldorado Church of God an avid fisherman and he had a nursing home ministry. He played bass guitar at several churches. He was a minister and loved to sing for Jesus. He was a great witness for the Lord. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the church family and friends and deeply appreciate all the thoughts and prayers during this time.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years Judy (Hale) Horton of Harrisburg; two daughters, Samantha (Alfred) Printup of Chattanooga, Tenn., Marianne Bynum of Eldorado; two sons, Noah “Willie” Horton and David Michael Horton both of Eldorado; seven grandchildren, Stephany Horton, CJ Horton, Isaih Horton, Abby Horton, Gabrielle Printup, Kenyon Printup and Matthew Horton; two brothers, Mike (Cathy) Horton of Harrisburg and Rick (Cindy) Horton of Shawneetown; two sisters, Sue (Truman) Sauls of Eldorado and Melinda (Kevin) Delap of Broughton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Blake Clayton and the Rev. Jarod Barton officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eldorado Church of God Youth Fund and left at the funeral home.
