The Harrisburg High School wrestling team improved to 8-8 with a 43-31 victory over Carterville late last week.
It was also senior night at Harrisburg's Bonnell Gymnasium, where two seniors Bryan Miller (160 pounds) picked up a win via forfeit and Brandon Thom (285 pounds) won in a time of 28 seconds.
Other wins included, Darren O'Dell (113), who won with a time of 1:24 and Austin Lowry (126 pounds), won in a 9-0 decision.
Freshman Dakota Barker (138 pounds) won in a 6-5 decision and Lucian Hicks (152 pounds), won in a time of 1:32.
Cole Adams (195 pounds) and Tyler Owens (220 pounds) each picked up wins. Adams won with a 16-11 decision, while Owens won in a time of 1:53.
The Harrisburg junior varsity team improved to 7-1 with a 27-24 win over Carterville.
Garrett Betts (145 pounds), Derrick Hawkins (152 pounds), Logan Boon (170 pounds), Tyler Salus (195 pounds) and Ryan Dennison (285 pounds) all earned victories.
