Bonita B. Martin, 64, longtime resident of Elizabethtown died on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in the Hardin County Hospital after an extended illness.
Bonita was born in Rosiclare on May 18, 1948, to the late Adrian and Julie (Bell) Holbrook. She loved to crochet at which she was very talented. She loved to cook and be with her family. She was a good mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed.
Bonita is survived by her son, Larry (Angie) Ashford, Shawneetown; a daughter, Bobby “Tubby” Ramsey, Elizabethtown; three granddaughters, Morgan, Lexie, and Chaye; three grandsons, Skyler, Gunnar (Aundrea) and Michael; two great- grandsons, Chase and Skyler; three brothers, James (Denise) Holbrook, Carrier Mills, Bubby (Willa) Holbrook, Golconda, and Chester (Penny) Holbrook, Cave-In-Rock; two sisters, Becky Barnard, Elizabethtown and Joey Lewis, Rosiclare.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Chase Martin.
Visitation, will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. Her funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ed Lafferty officiating and interment will follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Elizabethtown. Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown is entrusted with the arrangements.
