  • Juanita Hunt, 93, of 25 Hunts Resort Drive, Lake of Egypt, died on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at her granddaughter Debra’s residence near Broughton.

  • Juanita Hunt, 93, of 25 Hunts Resort Drive, Lake of Egypt, died on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at her granddaughter Debra’s residence near Broughton.
    She was born in Jonesboro on Oct. 5, 1919, to the late John David and Ethel (Gholson) Keasler. On Nov. 1, 1936, she married Wayne Hunt and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2000. Juanita was a loving mother and a grandmother. She attended the Primitive Baptist Church of Northfork near Broughton. During her many years she enjoyed being a farmers wife, a seamstress and a nurses aid.
    She is survived by her son Kenneth Wayne (Becky) Hunt of Creal Springs; two grandchildren, Sheilah Faye (Dennis) Neal of Norris City and Debra Kaye (Richard) Wilson of Broughton; and a stepgrandson, Stephen (Peggy) Wolf of Oklahoma. She also has seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren surviving.
    Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Chad Everett officiating. Burial will be in Gholson Cemetery near Broughton. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday until service time 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
    For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Hospice of Southern Illinois Blue East Team and left at the funeral home.
