  • The Eldorado FFA computer team recently won the section 25 FFA computer contest hosted at Southeastern Illinois College and the District 5 contest hosted by Rend Lake College.
Team members consisted of Desi Vaugh, Christie Hisey, Noah Boulds, William Johnson and Christian Stanley.
Team members participated in a series of computer concepts including Word, Access and Excel. Members prepared a spreadsheet, did word processing to create a queer and charting.
They used V Lookup, If and Choose to modify an excel data base document. The contest also included a 100 point written test on computer terminology and use. It was a very difficult contest to prepare for and the students spent a lot of time practicing. It marked the sixth straight year that Eldorado has won the district contest.
Desi Vaughn was the first place winner, Christie Hisey was third and Noah Boulds finished fourth. The team gives thanks to former FFA member and teacher Cody Cusic for helping prepare the computer teams.
Eldorado FFA also won the district and section titles for Agricultural Sales on Nov. 1 and Nov. 7.
