Susie Miller, age 55, of Harrisburg went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, surrounded by her husband and family.
Susie was born on Nov. 18, 1957, in Paris, Tenn., to the late James and Mary (Stamps) Eudy. On Oct. 7, 1999, she married Steve Miller and he survives. Susie worked for many years at the Dog & Suds/Gunzel’s Family Restaurant.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Miller; grandson, Amin Miller; son, Christopher (Ashley) Miller; grandchildren, Addlyn and Callen of Crab Orchard; eight brothers, Gary (Nancee) Duke of Johnston City, Larry (Roni Kay) Duke of West Frankfort, Melvin (Faye) Duke of Puryear, Tenn., Jim Eudy of Harrisburg, Bobby Eudy of Alton, Ed (Lisa) Eudy of Marion, Johnny (Debbie) Eudy of Harrisburg and Jim “Bubba” (Nina) Elkins of St. Peter’s, Mo.; sister, Cindy (Joe) Gholson of Harrisburg; very special niece, Angie Cain of St. Louis; special friend, Debbie Newcomb of Harrisburg; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Marcus Miller, and a very special family friend, Fred Gunzel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Steve Shea will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
