Anna Belle Melton Griswold, 90, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, in Odessa, Texas.
She was born on Nov. 19, 1922, and formerly of Broughton. She was a resident of Parks Methodist Retirement Village in Odessa, Texas. She was a joy to everyone who met her. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Herman Griswold on Dec. 5, 2007; son, Fred Griswold on Feb. 6, 1993; brothers, Charles, Harrell and Henry (Dutch) Melton; great-granddaughter, Macey Jo Bishop; and her parents Edo and Lucielle Melton.
She is survived by daughter, Jean and husband Phil Stinson of Odessa, Texas; grandchildren, Marsha and husband Randy Bishop of Vincennes, Ind., LaDonna and husband DeWayne Whitlock of Raleigh, Julie Stinson and Jeff and wife Lelia Stinson all of Stamford, Conn.; sister, Mary Gholson; brother, Harry “Corky” (Susie) Melton of Eldorado; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home of Odessa and Watson Funeral Home of Eldorado. Burial will be at Lindale Memorial Gardens in Eldorado, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2012, at the Watson Funeral Home with Howard Stearns officiating. Visitation is noon to service time.
