  • Doris J. Ande, 82, of Eldorado passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Ferrell Hospital.

  • Doris J. Ande, 82, of Eldorado passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Ferrell Hospital.
    Doris was born in Equality on Aug. 30, 1930, to the late Valentine and Rachel (Yates) Wargel. She married Robert "Bob" Ande who preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1989. Doris was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldorado and was a member of St. Mary's Altar Society. She loved to cook for her family and her life revolved around her family.
    She is survived by four sons, Mike (Beth) Ande, Bill (Vicki) Ande, Keith (Denise) Ande, and Greg Ande; two daughters, Shirley (Don) Holbrook and Marilyn (David) Sizemore all of Eldorado; three brothers, Val (Anita) Wargel, Johnny (Judy) Wargel and Jimmy (Kay) Wargel all of Ridgway; two sisters, Barbara (Bob) Naas of Omaha and Patsy (Gene) Caswell of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Sherry (Rodney) Horton of Harrisburg, Ryan (Gina) Sizemore of Eldorado, Danny (Melissa) Holbrook of Eldorado, Robby (Tracie) Sizemore of Eldorado, Parker (Jayda) Bryan of Harrisburg, Nick Ande of Eldorado, Casey (Whitney) Bryan of Eldorado, Nathan Ande of Eldorado, Brooke Ande of Eldorado; great-grandchildren, Stacy (Josh) Knight, Brittany (Tyler) Weiss, Justin Holbrook, Ashley Horton, Daniel Holbrook, Ethan Bryan, Blayne Bryan, Hannah Bryan, Kynlee Bryan, Ashlyn Sizemore, Kynzie Sizemore, Kyrsten Sizemore, Hunter Sizemore, Cameron Ande, Landon Ande, Easton Hatton; and a great-great-grandson Jayce Weiss.
    In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother Ronny Wargel; and two nephews, John A. Wargel Jr and Mark Wargel. A mass of Christian Burial will be said 1 p.m. Thursday Jan. 3, 2012, with Fr. Abraham Adejoh officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Equality. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home.
