Mark Steven Long, 50, Harrisburg, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.
He was born in Harrisburg on Sept. 28, 1962, the son of Tony and Barbara Long. Mark graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1980 and was a United States Army veteran. He loved watching football and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.
Mark is survived by his parents, Tony and Barbara Long of Harrisburg; daughter, Stephanie Smith, Nixa, Mo.; two grandsons, Levi and Logan; sister, Denise (Larry) Brill, Sand Springs, Okla.; three nieces, Melissa Douglas and Lynette Silva of Sand Springs, Okla., and Monica Parker of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one nephew, Caleb Long of Harrisburg; three great nephews, Sterling and Scott Silva and Hunter Douglas; and two great nieces, Valerie and Vanessa Douglas.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Long Bolin, and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Bobby Gentry will officiate, burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
